We are seeking a Senior Security Incident Manager to lead the co-ordinated response to significant cyber security incidents across a complex technology environment. You will act as the senior point of contact during high-severity events, providing clear direction, maintaining control of incident activity and ensuring that business, technology and security stakeholders remain informed throughout. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring sound judgement, composure and the ability to make timely decisions when information is incomplete.

You will manage the full incident lifecycle, from initial triage and containment through eradication, recovery and post-incident review. Responsibilities will include establishing response structures, assigning tasks, maintaining accurate timelines, assessing business impact, escalating risks and coordinating technical and non-technical teams. You will work closely with security operations, infrastructure, applications, legal, risk, communications and external partners where required. The role will also involve developing and exercising incident response plans, improving playbooks, identifying recurring themes and ensuring that lessons learned are translated into measurable improvements. You will contribute to reporting for senior leadership and support the continual development of operational resilience and cyber response capability.

Applicants should have substantial experience managing major cyber security incidents within a regulated, enterprise or similarly complex environment. You will bring a strong understanding of incident response principles, threat management, service management and crisis communications, together with the ability to interpret technical information and present it clearly to varied audiences. Experience of leading incident simulations, coordinating third parties and managing post-incident investigations would be advantageous. Relevant professional qualifications in cyber security, information security, IT service management or business continuity are desirable, alongside practical knowledge of recognised security and response frameworks. Above all, we are looking for an organised, collaborative and resilient professional who can influence confidently, challenge constructively and maintain a calm, structured approach under pressure.
