We are seeking an experienced Senior SOC Analyst to join a dynamic security operations function. In this role, you will help protect critical systems, applications and data by leading the investigation and response to complex cyber security incidents. You will work closely with colleagues across infrastructure, cloud, engineering and risk teams to identify threats, reduce exposure and strengthen security controls.

Your responsibilities will include monitoring and analysing security alerts from SIEM, EDR, network, cloud and vulnerability management platforms; investigating suspicious activity; and coordinating timely incident response. You will conduct advanced threat hunting, correlate indicators of compromise, assess potential business impact and provide clear recommendations for containment, eradication and recovery. You will also support digital forensic activities, malware analysis and the development of incident reports for technical and senior stakeholders.

As a senior member of the team, you will help improve detection and response capabilities by developing use cases, tuning alert rules, maintaining playbooks and contributing to security automation. You will participate in incident simulations, post-incident reviews and vulnerability investigations, while helping to mentor junior analysts and promote consistent operational standards. The role may include participation in an out-of-hours rota.

You should have substantial experience in a security operations or incident response environment, with strong knowledge of security monitoring, threat intelligence, attack methodologies and investigative techniques. Experience with SIEM and EDR technologies, cloud security platforms, network protocols and scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell is highly desirable. Professional certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, GCFA, CISSP, CISM or equivalent experience would be advantageous.

You will be analytical, methodical and confident working under pressure, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. A proactive approach, sound judgement and a strong commitment to continuous improvement are essential. This is an opportunity to make a direct contribution to the organisation’s cyber resilience while developing your expertise in a collaborative and supportive environment.
