We are seeking a Security Technical Analyst to support the protection, monitoring and continuous improvement of a complex technology environment. This role will suit an analytical and technically minded security professional who can investigate threats, assess vulnerabilities and work collaboratively with colleagues across technology and business teams.

You will monitor security alerts and events, investigate suspected incidents and contribute to effective containment, eradication and recovery activities. Responsibilities will include analysing logs and security data, identifying indicators of compromise, supporting incident response investigations and documenting findings clearly. You will also help maintain security monitoring rules, improve detection capabilities and ensure that incidents are escalated appropriately.

The role will involve carrying out vulnerability assessments, reviewing technical changes and supporting remediation activity across infrastructure, applications, cloud services and end-user devices. You will provide practical security advice, contribute to risk assessments and help ensure that security controls remain effective and aligned with relevant policies, standards and regulatory requirements. Participation in security projects, audits, testing and continuous improvement initiatives will also be expected.

Applicants should have experience in a technical security, cyber security operations or infrastructure role, with a sound understanding of security principles, incident management and vulnerability management. Familiarity with security information and event management tools, endpoint protection, network security technologies and cloud environments would be advantageous. Knowledge of frameworks such as Cyber Essentials, NIST or ISO 27001 is desirable.

You will be confident interpreting technical information, identifying patterns and explaining security issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgement and a methodical approach to problem-solving are essential. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, SSCP, GCIH or equivalent practical experience, would be welcomed. This is an opportunity to develop your expertise while making a direct contribution to a resilient and secure technology environment.
