We are seeking an experienced Technology Risk Manager to support the effective identification, assessment and management of technology and information security risks within financial services. This role will work closely with business, technology, cyber security, compliance and audit stakeholders to strengthen risk management practices and help ensure that technology services are resilient, secure and aligned with regulatory expectations.

You will be responsible for maintaining technology risk assessments, reviewing control effectiveness and monitoring remediation activity. The role will involve challenging risk owners constructively, assessing the impact of incidents and control weaknesses, and providing clear reporting to senior management and relevant governance forums. You will also contribute to risk acceptance decisions, policy and standards reviews, regulatory engagements, and the development of risk indicators and management information.

Key duties will include supporting technology and change initiatives through risk and control assessments, reviewing third-party and outsourced service risks, and helping to ensure appropriate controls are embedded across infrastructure, applications, data, access management, resilience and operational processes. You will keep abreast of emerging threats, regulatory developments and industry good practice, translating these into practical recommendations for the business.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in technology risk, operational risk, information security, technology audit or a related discipline, ideally within a regulated financial services environment. You should have a sound understanding of risk and control frameworks, governance processes, technology operations, cyber security principles and resilience requirements. Experience working with senior stakeholders and presenting concise, evidence-based recommendations is essential.

Strong analytical, communication and influencing skills are required, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Professional qualifications in risk, audit, information security or technology, such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP or equivalent, would be advantageous. A pragmatic, collaborative approach and a commitment to continuous improvement will be highly valued.
