(INV) Senior Consultant , Cybersecurity, Strategy Governance Risk and Compliance, TC, UKI
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to support clients across the UK and Ireland with the development and delivery of cybersecurity strategy, governance, risk and compliance programmes. You will work with senior stakeholders to understand business objectives, assess cyber maturity and translate regulatory, technological and operational requirements into practical, sustainable improvements. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to varied engagements across multiple industries, advising organisations as they strengthen their resilience in an increasingly complex threat landscape.
Your responsibilities will include leading and delivering cybersecurity assessments, maturity reviews, risk assessments and compliance engagements; developing security strategies, policies, standards and governance frameworks; and helping clients establish effective control environments. You will interpret relevant legislation, regulations and industry standards, supporting alignment with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, CIS and applicable UK and European requirements. You will also produce high-quality reports, risk registers, roadmaps and presentations, communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, and support the management of client relationships and project delivery. Depending on the engagement, you may contribute to bids, proposal development, team mentoring and the continuous improvement of consulting methodologies.
Applicants should have strong experience in cybersecurity, information security, technology risk, governance or compliance, gained within consulting or a complex corporate environment. A sound understanding of security principles, risk management practices, control frameworks and regulatory expectations is essential, alongside the ability to analyse information, challenge constructively and make well-reasoned recommendations. Professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor, or equivalent experience, would be advantageous. You will be an excellent communicator with confident stakeholder-management skills, commercial awareness and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with distributed teams. Occasional travel may be required, and candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
