Offensive Security and Threat Intelligence Specialist
We are seeking an Offensive Security and Threat Intelligence Specialist to strengthen our cyber defence capability through proactive testing, intelligence-led investigations and clear, actionable risk reporting. In this role, you will identify weaknesses across applications, infrastructure, cloud environments and organisational processes, helping teams understand and reduce exposure to real-world threats. You will work closely with security operations, engineering, technology and risk stakeholders to improve resilience and support informed decision-making.
Your responsibilities will include planning and conducting penetration tests, vulnerability assessments, red team activities and adversary emulation exercises across agreed environments. You will research threat actors, tactics, techniques and procedures, monitor relevant intelligence sources, and assess how emerging threats may affect business operations. The role will involve analysing security telemetry and technical findings, validating potential attack paths, developing proof-of-concept demonstrations where appropriate, and producing concise reports with prioritised remediation advice. You may also contribute to incident investigations, threat hunting, security testing standards, detection engineering and the continuous improvement of offensive security tools and methodologies.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in offensive security, penetration testing, threat intelligence or a closely related discipline. Strong knowledge of networking, operating systems, web applications, cloud technologies, identity platforms and common attack frameworks is expected, along with practical experience using relevant testing and intelligence tools. Certifications such as OSCP, CREST, GIAC or comparable qualifications are desirable, but demonstrable capability and sound judgement are equally valued. You should be able to communicate complex technical issues clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences, manage competing priorities, and work ethically and collaboratively. Curiosity, attention to detail, a methodical approach and a commitment to responsible disclosure are essential. This is an opportunity to play a central role in anticipating threats, challenging assumptions and helping build stronger, more secure services.
