We are seeking an experienced Cyber Incident Lead to oversee the effective identification, management and resolution of cyber security incidents across a complex technology environment. You will lead the incident response function, coordinating activity from initial detection through containment, eradication, recovery and post-incident review. Working closely with security operations, infrastructure, technology, risk, legal and business stakeholders, you will ensure incidents are handled promptly, consistently and with clear communication throughout.

Key responsibilities will include assessing and prioritising alerts and incidents, directing investigations, maintaining accurate incident records and providing timely updates to senior stakeholders. You will coordinate technical and business response teams during high-severity events, support decisions relating to service continuity and risk mitigation, and ensure appropriate escalation when required. You will monitor emerging threats, assess their potential impact and help strengthen controls, detection capabilities and resilience across the environment.

Applicants should have substantial experience in cyber security incident response, security operations or a closely related discipline, with a strong understanding of incident management methodologies and the cyber attack lifecycle. You will be confident analysing complex technical information, making sound decisions under pressure and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences. Experience managing major incidents, coordinating cross-functional teams and working with external partners or specialist responders is highly desirable. Familiarity with SIEM, endpoint detection and response, vulnerability management, threat intelligence and forensic investigation tools is expected, together with knowledge of relevant security frameworks, data protection obligations and risk management practices. Professional security or incident response certifications would be advantageous.
