Vulnerability Management Analyst
We are seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst to support the identification, assessment, prioritisation, and remediation of security vulnerabilities across a complex technology environment. The successful candidate will work closely with infrastructure, application development, cloud, and service delivery teams to reduce cyber risk and strengthen the organisation’s overall security posture. This role requires a methodical approach, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key responsibilities will include operating and improving vulnerability scanning processes across servers, endpoints, networks, applications, containers, and cloud environments; analysing scan results and validating findings; assessing vulnerabilities based on severity, exploitability, business impact, and asset criticality; and producing clear reports, dashboards, and management information. You will track remediation activity, coordinate with system and application owners, support exception and risk-acceptance processes, and escalate overdue or high-risk issues where necessary. The role will also involve monitoring emerging threats, assessing relevant security advisories, contributing to vulnerability management policies and procedures, and helping to develop automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Applicants should have practical experience in vulnerability management, security operations, infrastructure security, or a closely related discipline. Experience using vulnerability scanning and security assessment tools, interpreting CVSS ratings, and working with remediation or ticketing workflows is essential. Knowledge of common operating systems, networks, databases, web applications, cloud platforms, and security principles will be highly valued. Familiarity with scripting or automation, penetration testing concepts, patch management, and recognised security frameworks would be advantageous. You should be organised, proactive, and comfortable managing competing priorities while maintaining accurate records and meeting agreed service levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the confidence to challenge constructively and build effective working relationships across multiple teams.
