Vulnerability Management Analyst
We are seeking a Vulnerability Management Analyst to support the identification, assessment, prioritisation and remediation of security vulnerabilities across a complex technology environment. Working closely with infrastructure, cloud, application, engineering and risk teams, you will help maintain a clear view of the organisation’s security exposure and contribute to reducing cyber risk. This role is suited to an analytical security professional who can translate technical findings into practical, risk-based actions.
Your responsibilities will include operating and improving vulnerability scanning processes across servers, endpoints, networks, applications, containers and cloud environments; reviewing scan results to validate findings and eliminate false positives; and assessing vulnerabilities using factors such as severity, exploitability, asset criticality and business impact. You will track remediation activity, maintain accurate records, produce dashboards and management reports, and provide regular updates on risk trends, overdue actions and remediation performance. You will also support vulnerability disclosure and exception processes, assist with security assessments, and contribute to continuous improvements in policies, procedures, tooling and operational workflows. Where required, you will help investigate emerging threats and assess their potential impact on the organisation’s environment.
Applicants should have experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity operations, infrastructure security or a related discipline, together with a sound understanding of vulnerability assessment methodologies and common security frameworks. Familiarity with tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Microsoft Defender or comparable platforms is desirable, as is knowledge of CVE, CVSS, patch management, remediation validation and risk acceptance processes. Experience working with cloud technologies, scripting or automation, and ticketing and reporting platforms would be advantageous. You should be comfortable analysing technical information, managing competing priorities and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CISSP or equivalent professional experience are welcomed.
