We are seeking an Embedded Security Education & Awareness Programme Consultant to help strengthen security culture across a complex organisation. Working closely with business units, technology teams, risk specialists and senior stakeholders, you will design and deliver practical, engaging security education that supports secure behaviours and reduces organisational risk. This is an influential role for a confident communicator who can translate technical and regulatory requirements into clear, relevant guidance for a wide range of audiences.

Your responsibilities will include assessing awareness needs, developing and maintaining an annual security education and engagement plan, and creating content for campaigns, workshops, onboarding, leadership briefings and targeted learning interventions. You will embed security messaging into existing business processes and communities, coordinate awareness activities across multiple locations or functions, and support initiatives covering areas such as phishing resilience, data protection, identity and access management, secure use of technology, incident reporting and social engineering. You will also work with subject matter experts to ensure that all materials are accurate, accessible and aligned with current threats, policies and compliance obligations.

You will monitor participation, feedback and behavioural indicators, producing meaningful reports and recommendations to demonstrate programme effectiveness and guide continuous improvement. The successful candidate will have experience delivering security awareness, cyber education, risk communications, learning programmes or a comparable change-focused function. You should be able to manage multiple priorities, build trusted relationships, influence without direct authority and tailor communication to technical and non-technical audiences. Strong writing, presentation and facilitation skills are essential, together with an understanding of information security principles and current cyber risks. Experience with learning management systems, campaign platforms, metrics and behaviour-change techniques would be advantageous. Professional security, training or communications qualifications are welcome but not essential.
