Cybersecurity Programme Manager
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Programme Manager to lead the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of a portfolio of cybersecurity initiatives. This role will be responsible for coordinating strategic programmes that strengthen organisational resilience, protect information assets and support compliance with relevant regulatory and industry requirements. You will work across technology, risk, governance and business teams to ensure that cybersecurity priorities are translated into clear, deliverable plans.
Key responsibilities will include developing programme strategies, roadmaps, budgets, milestones and performance measures; managing interdependent projects, risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies; and providing clear, accurate reporting to senior stakeholders and governance forums. You will establish effective programme controls, ensure appropriate documentation and maintain oversight of benefits realisation. The role will also involve coordinating initiatives such as security transformation, identity and access management, cloud security, vulnerability remediation, incident preparedness, third-party risk and regulatory compliance. You will build strong working relationships with internal teams, suppliers and specialist partners, ensuring delivery remains aligned with business objectives and recognised security frameworks.
Applicants should have substantial experience managing complex cybersecurity or technology programmes within a large, regulated or similarly demanding environment. You will bring a strong understanding of information security principles, risk management, governance and assurance, together with demonstrable experience delivering change across multiple teams. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, influencing and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to interpret technical information and present it clearly to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. Experience with programme and project management methodologies, security standards such as ISO 27001 or NIST, and relevant professional qualifications would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be organised, commercially aware and confident operating in a changing environment while maintaining a strong focus on delivery, collaboration and measurable outcomes.
