Embedded Senior Operations Officer - Global Security Operations Centre
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Senior Operations Officer to support the effective delivery of a Global Security Operations Centre (GSOC). This role will provide security monitoring, intelligence analysis and operational coordination in a fast-paced, international environment. You will act as a trusted point of contact for security-related matters, helping to protect people, assets, information and business operations across multiple locations.
Key responsibilities will include monitoring global security, safety and threat information; assessing incidents and emerging risks; and producing clear, timely notifications, briefings and situation reports. You will manage and escalate incidents in accordance with established procedures, coordinate responses with internal stakeholders and external partners, and maintain accurate operational records. The role will also involve supporting travel risk management, tracking personnel and events, conducting research and horizon scanning, and contributing to security assessments and crisis response activities. As a senior member of the team, you will help maintain high operational standards, coach colleagues, identify process improvements and support the development of procedures, guidance and reporting.
Applicants should have substantial experience in a GSOC, security operations, emergency management, intelligence, law enforcement, military or a similarly demanding operational environment. You will need strong analytical and decision-making skills, sound judgement under pressure and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels and working collaboratively across cultures and time zones. Experience with security monitoring platforms, incident management systems, open-source intelligence tools and Microsoft Office applications is desirable. Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays, may be required. Professional security, intelligence or business continuity qualifications would be advantageous.
