We are seeking an Embedded Security Engineer to design, implement, and validate security solutions for connected and safety-critical embedded systems. You will work across the product lifecycle, from early architecture and threat modelling through development, verification, deployment, and maintenance. The role involves collaborating with hardware, firmware, software, systems, and quality teams to ensure that security is built into products by design and aligned with relevant industry standards and regulatory expectations.

Key responsibilities include conducting security assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and translating security requirements into practical technical controls. You will develop and review secure boot, trusted execution, key management, cryptographic services, access control, secure firmware update, debug protection, and device identity mechanisms. You will support code and design reviews, penetration testing, vulnerability analysis, incident investigation, and remediation planning. The role also includes maintaining security documentation, contributing to security processes and coding guidelines, supporting compliance activities, and monitoring emerging threats affecting embedded platforms, connectivity protocols, and supply chains.

The successful candidate will have professional experience in embedded systems security, firmware development, product security, or a related engineering discipline. Strong knowledge of C or C++, operating systems, microcontrollers, and common embedded communication technologies is expected, along with practical experience applying cryptographic concepts and secure development practices. Familiarity with security standards, threat-modelling methods, hardware security features, reverse engineering, and tools such as debuggers, static analysers, and vulnerability scanners would be advantageous. You should be analytical, collaborative, and comfortable communicating complex security risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A degree in computer science, electrical engineering, cybersecurity, or a comparable field is preferred.
