We are seeking a Senior Cyber Artificial Intelligence Specialist to lead the design, development and implementation of advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities within cyber security. This role will help identify emerging threats, strengthen defensive operations and improve the speed and accuracy of security detection and response.

You will work closely with cyber security, data science, engineering and risk teams to translate complex security challenges into practical AI-driven solutions. Responsibilities will include developing and tuning models for threat detection, anomaly identification, malware analysis, fraud prevention and vulnerability prioritisation. You will assess the quality, reliability and explainability of models, ensuring that outputs can be trusted and acted upon by operational teams.

The role will also involve researching new developments in artificial intelligence, automation and adversarial machine learning, and assessing their relevance to the threat landscape. You will provide technical leadership on the secure use of generative AI, including identifying risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, model manipulation and poisoning. You will establish appropriate testing, monitoring and governance practices across the AI lifecycle.

As a senior specialist, you will contribute to technical strategy, mentor colleagues and communicate recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You may also support incident investigations, threat intelligence activity, security architecture reviews and the creation of standards, guidance and operating procedures.

Applicants should have significant experience in cyber security, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science or a closely related discipline, together with a strong understanding of security operations, threat modelling and risk management. Practical experience with Python and common machine learning frameworks is expected, as is familiarity with cloud platforms, security tooling, data pipelines and model deployment practices. Knowledge of adversarial AI, large language models, natural language processing or computer vision would be advantageous.

You will be an analytical and collaborative professional who can work with ambiguity, challenge assumptions and explain complex concepts with confidence. Relevant professional certifications or a degree in cyber security, computer science, artificial intelligence, mathematics or a related subject would be desirable.
