We are seeking a vigilant and analytical 24 x 7 Security Analyst to support continuous monitoring and protection of critical systems, networks, applications, and data. Working as part of a round-the-clock security operations function, you will identify, investigate, and respond to potential security incidents while helping maintain a strong and resilient cyber defence environment. This role requires sound judgement, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and methodical when handling urgent or complex events.

Key responsibilities include monitoring security alerts from SIEM, endpoint, network, identity, and other security tools; triaging and investigating suspicious activity; validating indicators of compromise; and coordinating containment, eradication, and recovery activities in line with established procedures. You will document incidents accurately, maintain clear investigation timelines, escalate significant threats appropriately, and contribute to post-incident reviews. The role also involves threat hunting, vulnerability and exposure review, log analysis, security reporting, and supporting the continuous improvement of detection rules, playbooks, processes, and operational controls.

Applicants should have experience in a security operations, incident response, monitoring, or comparable technical security role, ideally within a 24 x 7 environment. A practical understanding of networking, operating systems, authentication, cloud services, malware behaviour, and common attack techniques is essential. Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, ticketing, vulnerability management, and threat intelligence platforms is highly desirable. Relevant industry certifications or formal training in cybersecurity would be advantageous. You should be comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays, and be able to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, curiosity, strong analytical ability, effective prioritisation, and a commitment to protecting systems and information.
