Cyber Security Analyst

We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support the protection of digital systems, applications, networks and data against evolving cyber threats. In this role, you will monitor security events, investigate alerts and potential incidents, and help ensure that suspicious activity is identified, assessed and addressed promptly. You will work with colleagues across technology and business functions to strengthen security controls, reduce risk and promote secure working practices.

Key responsibilities include reviewing and analysing logs from security information and event management platforms, endpoint protection tools, firewalls and other monitoring solutions. You will triage alerts, investigate indicators of compromise, document findings and support incident response activities from initial detection through to resolution. The role will also involve vulnerability management, including reviewing scan results, prioritising remediation and tracking actions to completion. You may contribute to threat intelligence research, security testing, access reviews, audit preparation, risk assessments and the development of security reports and dashboards. Maintaining accurate records, escalating significant issues and identifying opportunities to improve monitoring and response processes will be central to the position.

Applicants should have practical experience in cyber security operations, incident investigation, security monitoring or a related technical discipline. A sound understanding of networking, operating systems, identity and access management, common attack techniques and security principles is essential. Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, vulnerability scanning and ticketing platforms is highly desirable, as is experience working with frameworks, policies or regulatory requirements. Relevant professional certifications or formal training in cyber security will be advantageous. You should be analytical, methodical and able to communicate technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, curiosity, sound judgement and a proactive approach to continuous learning in a rapidly changing threat landscape.
