Lead Threat Intelligence Analyst
We are seeking a Lead Threat Intelligence Analyst to drive the development and delivery of actionable intelligence that strengthens security decision-making and improves organisational resilience. In this role, you will lead the collection, analysis, and dissemination of strategic, operational, and tactical threat intelligence, helping security teams understand emerging risks, adversary behaviours, and potential impacts to critical systems and business operations.
You will manage intelligence requirements, establish effective collection strategies, and analyse information from open-source, commercial, internal, and technical sources. Responsibilities include monitoring threat actors, campaigns, vulnerabilities, and geopolitical developments; producing high-quality reports, briefings, and alerts for technical and senior audiences; and translating complex findings into clear recommendations. You will also support incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, and cyber risk activities by providing relevant context and timely assessments. The role involves maintaining intelligence platforms and processes, developing analytical standards, and contributing to the continuous improvement of threat intelligence capabilities. You may also coordinate intelligence-sharing relationships with trusted external partners and represent the security function in relevant forums.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis, incident response, threat hunting, or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of the cyber kill chain, MITRE ATT&CK, intelligence lifecycle principles, and common attack techniques. Experience leading projects or mentoring analysts is highly desirable. You should be confident assessing the reliability and relevance of disparate information, identifying patterns, and communicating insight clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong research, writing, presentation, and prioritisation skills are essential, along with sound judgement when working with sensitive information. Relevant professional certifications or formal qualifications in cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, or a related field are advantageous. The role may require participation in an on-call or escalation rota and the ability to respond effectively to changing threat conditions.
