We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to help protect critical systems, applications and information from evolving cyber threats. This role will monitor security activity, investigate potential incidents and support the ongoing improvement of security controls across a complex technology environment.

You will analyse alerts from security monitoring tools, identify unusual activity and assess potential risks. Responsibilities will include triaging and responding to security incidents, carrying out investigations, documenting findings and escalating issues where appropriate. You will also support vulnerability management activities, review technical findings and work with infrastructure, software and service teams to ensure that weaknesses are addressed effectively.

The successful candidate will contribute to security assessments, threat intelligence monitoring and the development of clear incident response procedures. You may also assist with security testing, access reviews, audit requests and the preparation of reports for technical and non-technical audiences. A key part of the role will be promoting good security practices and helping colleagues understand emerging risks.

Applicants should have experience in a cyber security, security operations or information security environment, with a sound understanding of network security, endpoint protection, identity and access management, vulnerability management and common attack techniques. Familiarity with SIEM platforms, security monitoring tools, ticketing systems and incident response processes is desirable.

You should be analytical, methodical and confident when assessing information under pressure. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain technical issues clearly and work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Cyber Essentials knowledge, GIAC or equivalent experience, would be advantageous.

This is an opportunity to develop your expertise in a supportive environment while contributing to meaningful improvements in security resilience. The role may involve occasional out-of-hours support as part of an agreed incident response or on-call arrangement.
