Lead PAM Engineer (Cyberark / IAM)
We are seeking an experienced Lead PAM Engineer to take ownership of the design, implementation and ongoing development of Privileged Access Management capabilities across a complex technology environment. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, responsible for strengthening controls around privileged accounts, credentials and sessions while supporting secure and efficient access for technology teams.
You will lead the engineering and administration of CyberArk, including the deployment and configuration of Digital Vault, Central Policy Manager, Password Vault Web Access, Privileged Session Manager and related components. You will define and maintain privileged access policies, onboard and manage accounts, configure password rotation and reconciliation, and oversee session monitoring and recording. You will also support integrations with directory services, security tooling, cloud platforms, databases and enterprise applications.
Working closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, Service Management and audit teams, you will provide technical guidance on PAM architecture, standards and operating procedures. You will investigate incidents, resolve complex platform issues, contribute to root-cause analysis and ensure that changes are delivered safely through established governance processes. The role will also involve reviewing existing controls, identifying opportunities for automation and continuous improvement, and helping to develop engineering documentation and knowledge-sharing materials.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience engineering and supporting CyberArk or a comparable PAM platform within a large or regulated environment. You will possess strong knowledge of privileged account security, vault architecture, access governance, authentication methods, enterprise directories and relevant networking principles. Experience with scripting or automation, particularly PowerShell, REST APIs or infrastructure-as-code tools, would be highly advantageous.
You should be able to lead technical delivery while remaining comfortable working independently on detailed engineering tasks. Strong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills are essential, together with a methodical approach to risk, security and documentation. Relevant CyberArk, IAM, security or cloud certifications would be welcomed. This opportunity offers the chance to shape a critical security capability and make a measurable contribution to the organisation’s resilience.
