Privileged Access Management (PAM) Lead
We are seeking an experienced Privileged Access Management (PAM) Lead to take ownership of the strategy, delivery and ongoing improvement of privileged access controls across a complex technology environment. You will lead the design and implementation of robust PAM capabilities, ensuring that administrative and high-risk accounts are securely managed, monitored and governed in line with security policies, regulatory obligations and industry best practice.
Key responsibilities will include developing and maintaining the PAM roadmap; overseeing the onboarding, discovery and classification of privileged accounts; implementing password vaulting, automated credential rotation, just-in-time access and session monitoring; and establishing effective controls for service, emergency and third-party accounts. You will define and maintain operating procedures, access models and supporting documentation, while ensuring that controls are tested regularly and vulnerabilities or policy exceptions are addressed promptly. The role will also involve leading incident investigations relating to privileged access, supporting audit and compliance activity, and producing meaningful management information on risk, control effectiveness and remediation progress.
You will provide technical leadership and work collaboratively with infrastructure, cloud, engineering, service management, risk and assurance teams to embed secure access practices throughout the organisation. The successful candidate will have substantial experience delivering and operating PAM solutions, with strong knowledge of identity and access management principles, least-privilege design, segregation of duties and access governance. Experience with major PAM platforms, cloud environments, directory services, scripting or automation, and privileged session management is highly desirable. You should be confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels, managing competing priorities and translating technical risk into clear business outcomes. A proactive, analytical approach, excellent communication skills and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.
