We are seeking an experienced Assistant Vice President, Threat Hunting Lead to develop and lead a proactive cyber threat hunting capability across a complex enterprise environment. This role will identify emerging and persistent threats that may evade traditional security controls, using intelligence-led investigations, advanced analytics, endpoint telemetry, network data, cloud activity and identity signals. The successful candidate will shape the threat hunting strategy, establish repeatable operating processes and ensure that findings are translated into measurable improvements in detection, prevention and response.

Responsibilities will include leading a team of threat hunters and coordinating closely with security operations, incident response, cyber intelligence, vulnerability management, engineering and technology risk teams. You will design and execute hypothesis-driven hunts based on threat intelligence, adversary tactics, techniques and procedures, and observed changes in the organisation’s threat landscape. You will oversee the development of detection logic, investigative playbooks and automation, while validating alerts and reducing false positives. The role will also require the production of clear executive reporting, risk-based recommendations and timely escalation of significant findings. You will support major investigations when required and help define metrics that demonstrate the effectiveness and maturity of the threat hunting programme.

Applicants should bring substantial experience in cyber threat hunting, detection engineering, incident response, security investigations or a closely related discipline, together with experience leading technical teams or programmes. Strong knowledge of frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, common attack paths, malware behaviour, identity compromise, cloud security and enterprise network architectures is essential. Hands-on capability with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, network monitoring, scripting and data analysis tools is expected; proficiency in Python, PowerShell, SQL or similar languages would be advantageous. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are required, along with the ability to explain complex technical risks to senior audiences. Relevant professional certifications and a degree or equivalent practical experience in cybersecurity, computer science or another technical field are desirable.
