AI & ML Engineer (Cybersecurity)
We are seeking an AI & ML Engineer (Cybersecurity) to design, develop and deploy intelligent solutions that strengthen the protection of digital systems, applications and data. You will work at the intersection of machine learning, security engineering and data analytics to identify emerging threats, improve detection capabilities and support rapid, informed responses to cyber incidents. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative security products and services in a collaborative, technically focused environment.
Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining machine learning models for threat detection, anomaly identification, fraud prevention and behavioural analysis. You will collect, prepare and analyse large and varied datasets, engineer meaningful features, and evaluate model performance against security-focused metrics. You will collaborate with cybersecurity analysts, software engineers, data scientists and other stakeholders to integrate models into production environments, automate monitoring and retraining processes, and continuously improve accuracy, resilience and scalability. You will also help investigate model outputs, reduce false positives, document technical decisions and ensure that solutions meet relevant security, privacy and governance standards.
The successful candidate will have professional experience in machine learning, data science, cybersecurity engineering or a related discipline, together with strong Python skills and familiarity with common machine learning frameworks and data-processing tools. Experience with security operations, SIEM platforms, threat intelligence, malware analysis, network or endpoint telemetry, and cloud environments is highly desirable. You should understand supervised and unsupervised learning, model validation, explainability and secure software development practices. Knowledge of MLOps, containerisation, APIs and CI/CD pipelines would be advantageous. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. A degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence or a related subject is preferred.
