Manager, Cybersecurity, Engineering , TC, UKI
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineering Manager to lead a team responsible for designing, implementing and operating secure technology solutions across the UK and Ireland. This role will combine people leadership, security engineering expertise and strategic delivery, helping to strengthen cyber resilience across complex cloud, infrastructure, application and enterprise environments. You will work closely with engineering, architecture, risk, compliance and business stakeholders to ensure security is embedded throughout the technology lifecycle.
Key responsibilities will include managing, mentoring and developing cybersecurity engineers; setting technical direction and delivery priorities; and overseeing the design and implementation of controls, tooling and services that protect systems, data and users. You will contribute to security architecture reviews, threat modelling, vulnerability management, incident response readiness, identity and access management, cloud security and secure software development practices. The role will also involve establishing engineering standards, measuring service performance, managing risks and dependencies, supporting audits, and communicating security issues and recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders. You will be expected to promote automation, continuous improvement and pragmatic, risk-based decision-making.
The successful candidate will have significant experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations or a related technical discipline, including experience leading or managing engineering teams. You will bring a strong understanding of modern security principles, enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, applications and relevant security frameworks or regulatory expectations. Experience delivering security programmes in complex organisations, managing third-party relationships and translating technical risks into business outcomes would be highly valuable. Strong communication, influencing, prioritisation and problem-solving skills are essential, together with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, collaborative environment. Professional security certifications or equivalent practical experience are desirable.
