Director, Cybersecurity, Cyber Resilience, TC, UKI
We are seeking an accomplished cybersecurity leader to shape and deliver cyber resilience across the UK and Ireland. This senior role will provide strategic direction for cybersecurity, technology risk and operational resilience, ensuring that critical services remain secure, available and recoverable in the face of evolving threats. You will work closely with executive stakeholders and business leaders to establish a clear resilience vision, strengthen security maturity and embed effective risk management across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include developing and executing a regional cybersecurity and cyber resilience strategy; overseeing security governance, policies, standards and assurance; and maintaining a comprehensive view of technology, information and third-party risks. You will lead preparedness for cyber incidents, including response, crisis management, business continuity and disaster recovery, while ensuring that lessons learned are translated into measurable improvements. The role will also oversee security monitoring, vulnerability management, identity and access controls, protective technologies and resilience testing, working in partnership with technology, risk, legal, compliance and operational teams. You will engage with regulators, auditors and external partners as required, providing clear reporting on risk exposure, control effectiveness, incidents and remediation progress.
The successful candidate will bring significant leadership experience in cybersecurity, cyber resilience, technology risk or a related discipline, ideally within a complex, regulated or highly distributed environment. You will have a strong understanding of security frameworks, operational resilience principles, incident management, disaster recovery and third-party risk. Professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC or equivalent experience would be advantageous. We are looking for an inclusive and credible leader who can influence at senior level, simplify complex issues, make sound decisions under pressure and build high-performing teams. Strong communication skills, commercial awareness and the ability to balance risk, customer needs and business priorities are essential. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the protection and resilience of critical services across the region.
