Associate Director, OT & Cybersecurity
We are seeking an Associate Director, OT & Cybersecurity to lead the development and execution of an integrated security strategy across operational technology (OT), industrial control systems, and connected infrastructure. This senior role will help protect critical operations by strengthening cyber resilience, managing risk, and ensuring that security is embedded throughout the design, operation, and transformation of OT environments. You will work closely with technology, engineering, operations, risk, compliance, and business leaders to establish practical, sustainable security solutions.
Key responsibilities include setting the OT cybersecurity roadmap, policies, standards, and governance framework; overseeing risk assessments, vulnerability management, incident response, threat monitoring, and security improvement programmes; and ensuring appropriate controls across industrial networks, supervisory control and data acquisition systems, plant environments, and third-party connections. You will provide leadership during cyber incidents, coordinate investigations and remediation, and maintain clear reporting on risk, performance, and regulatory compliance. The role will also support secure architecture and technology change, promote segmentation and access control, and ensure that cybersecurity requirements are incorporated into projects, procurement, maintenance, and operational processes.
We are looking for a strategic and collaborative security leader with substantial experience in OT, industrial cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, energy, utilities, or a similarly complex environment. You should have a strong understanding of relevant standards and frameworks, such as IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001, and applicable regulatory requirements, together with practical experience of network security, identity and access management, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and security monitoring. A degree or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity, information technology, engineering, or a related discipline is desirable, as are relevant industry certifications. Excellent communication, influencing, programme management, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, along with the ability to translate technical risk into clear business priorities.
