Associate Director, OT & Cybersecurity
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director, OT & Cybersecurity to lead the development and delivery of operational technology security across a complex, highly regulated environment. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for protecting industrial control systems, manufacturing technology, connected assets and critical operational infrastructure from evolving cyber threats, while enabling safe, reliable and efficient business operations.
You will define and implement the OT cybersecurity strategy, governance framework, policies and standards in alignment with recognised industry practices and regulatory requirements. Working closely with technology, engineering, operations, risk, compliance and senior leadership teams, you will oversee security assessments, vulnerability management, network segmentation, identity and access controls, monitoring, incident response and cyber resilience planning. You will lead the identification and treatment of OT risks, support secure architecture and project design reviews, and ensure that security is embedded throughout the lifecycle of new and existing systems. The role will also involve managing external partners, security assessments and audits, as well as developing metrics and reporting for executive stakeholders.
The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in OT, industrial control systems, manufacturing or critical infrastructure cybersecurity, together with strong knowledge of frameworks and standards such as IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001 and relevant regulatory controls. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams, influencing senior stakeholders and delivering cybersecurity programmes across geographically distributed environments is essential. You should be confident translating complex technical risks into clear business priorities, balancing security with operational continuity, and responding effectively to incidents and emerging threats. Relevant professional certifications in cybersecurity, risk management or industrial control systems would be advantageous. A collaborative leadership style, sound judgement, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to continuous improvement are key to success in this position.
