Cybersecurity Manager (OT)
We are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Manager (OT) to lead the protection of operational technology environments across critical infrastructure, industrial systems, and connected control networks. The successful candidate will develop and implement an OT cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives, recognised industry standards, and relevant regulatory requirements. This role will provide technical leadership across industrial control systems (ICS), supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers, industrial networks, and other operational technologies.
Key responsibilities include conducting OT cyber risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities, and prioritising remediation activities based on operational and business impact. You will establish and maintain security policies, architecture principles, monitoring capabilities, incident response procedures, and disaster recovery plans for OT environments. The role will coordinate vulnerability management, threat detection, penetration testing, network segmentation, access control, and secure remote access initiatives while ensuring that cybersecurity measures do not compromise safety, reliability, or operational continuity. You will also lead investigations of security incidents, support threat intelligence activities, and provide clear reporting on risk, compliance, and security performance to senior stakeholders.
You will work closely with engineering, operations, IT, safety, risk, compliance, and external service providers to embed security throughout the OT lifecycle, from design and procurement to commissioning, maintenance, and decommissioning. The position will support audits, develop security awareness and training programmes, and help build a strong cyber-resilient culture across operational teams. Applicants should have significant experience in OT, ICS, or industrial cybersecurity, together with a strong understanding of relevant frameworks and standards such as IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001, or the NIS2 Directive. Experience managing cybersecurity programmes, suppliers, and cross-functional teams is essential. Professional certifications such as CISSP, GICSP, CISM, or equivalent are desirable, as are excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
