Security Automation Software Engineer
We are seeking a Security Automation Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain reliable automation solutions that strengthen security operations across a complex technology environment. You will work closely with security engineers, software developers, infrastructure teams and operational stakeholders to identify repetitive or high-risk processes and turn them into efficient, scalable and measurable workflows. The role will involve translating security requirements into robust software, integrating tools and services through APIs, and improving the speed and consistency of incident detection, investigation and response.
Your responsibilities will include building and maintaining security automation pipelines, orchestration workflows and supporting services; developing integrations with security, cloud, identity and monitoring platforms; and creating reusable components that enable teams to respond effectively to alerts and incidents. You will contribute to the automation of vulnerability management, access reviews, threat intelligence enrichment, compliance evidence gathering and incident response activities. You will also establish appropriate testing, logging, monitoring and documentation, investigate failures, resolve technical issues and continuously improve the reliability and performance of automation systems. Collaboration with stakeholders will be essential to understand operational needs, define success criteria and ensure solutions are secure, maintainable and fit for purpose.
The successful candidate will have professional experience in software engineering, security engineering, DevSecOps or a related discipline, together with strong programming skills in Python or a similar language. You should be comfortable working with REST APIs, webhooks, event-driven architectures, version control and automated testing, and have practical experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD practices, containers and infrastructure automation. Knowledge of security operations, incident response, SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability management, identity and access management, or threat detection will be highly valued. You will bring a methodical approach to problem-solving, strong communication skills and a commitment to secure coding and continuous improvement. Experience working in agile, cross-functional teams and managing priorities in a fast-changing environment would be advantageous.
