We are seeking a Senior Security Engineer to help build secure, resilient systems for advanced artificial intelligence research and deployment. This role will focus on identifying and reducing security risks across infrastructure, applications, data, and model-development environments. You will work closely with researchers, software engineers, infrastructure specialists, and safety teams to ensure that security is integrated into technical design and operational processes from the outset.

Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining security controls for cloud and on-premises environments; conducting threat modelling, risk assessments, and security reviews; improving identity and access management, secrets handling, network protection, and endpoint security; and supporting vulnerability management, penetration testing, and incident response. You will help define secure engineering standards, create practical guidance for technical teams, and develop automation that improves monitoring, detection, and remediation. You may also contribute to protecting sensitive research, training infrastructure, evaluation systems, and high-value intellectual property against internal and external threats.

You should have substantial experience in security engineering, application security, cloud security, infrastructure security, or a related discipline, together with a strong understanding of modern attack techniques and defensive architecture. Experience with major cloud platforms, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, CI/CD security, security logging and detection, and programming or scripting is highly desirable. Familiarity with AI or machine-learning systems, model supply chains, data security, or emerging risks associated with advanced AI would be an advantage. We value clear communication, sound judgement, curiosity, and the ability to work effectively across disciplines. The position may be based in London or Lausanne, with opportunities to collaborate with colleagues across locations. Candidates should be comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment, balancing rigorous security practices with the need to enable ambitious technical work.
