Systems and Security Analyst - London

We are seeking a Systems and Security Analyst to support the secure, reliable and efficient operation of technology services in a London-based environment. This role will combine systems administration, security monitoring and technical investigation, working closely with infrastructure, service delivery and business teams. You will help maintain resilient systems, identify potential threats and contribute to the continual improvement of security controls and operational processes.

Key responsibilities will include monitoring networks, servers, cloud services and security tooling; investigating alerts, vulnerabilities and suspected incidents; and supporting the resolution of technical issues in line with agreed service levels. You will assist with access management, endpoint protection, patching, configuration reviews, backup checks and system hardening. The role will also involve maintaining accurate documentation, preparing reports, contributing to risk assessments and audits, and supporting the development and testing of incident response, business continuity and disaster recovery procedures. You may participate in out-of-hours support or an on-call rota where required.

Applicants should have practical experience in systems administration, infrastructure support or cybersecurity, with a good understanding of operating systems, networking principles, identity and access management, vulnerability management and security best practice. Familiarity with Microsoft environments, cloud platforms, SIEM solutions, endpoint security tools and scripting would be advantageous. Relevant industry certifications or formal qualifications are welcome, but demonstrable hands-on experience and a willingness to keep learning are equally valued. You should be analytical, methodical and confident communicating technical information to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. The successful candidate will be trusted to handle sensitive information, work collaboratively, manage competing priorities and apply sound judgement when responding to security or operational issues.
