Threat Intelligence Lead
We are seeking an experienced Threat Intelligence Lead to develop and strengthen an organisation-wide capability for identifying, assessing and responding to cyber threats. In this role, you will lead the production of actionable intelligence that supports strategic planning, security operations, incident response and risk management. You will translate complex technical information into clear, timely assessments for both technical and executive audiences, helping stakeholders make informed decisions about emerging and active threats.
Your responsibilities will include setting the threat intelligence strategy, defining collection and analysis requirements, and managing intelligence from open, commercial, government and industry sources. You will oversee the monitoring of threat actors, campaigns, vulnerabilities, malware and geopolitical developments relevant to the organisation’s risk profile. Working closely with security operations, incident response, vulnerability management and broader technology teams, you will enrich investigations, support proactive hunting and improve detection and response capabilities. You will also establish appropriate processes, reporting standards and measures of effectiveness, while maintaining trusted relationships with external intelligence partners and information-sharing communities.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in cyber threat intelligence, security analysis or a closely related discipline, with a strong understanding of threat actor behaviours, the MITRE ATT&CK framework, intelligence lifecycle principles and common investigative methodologies. Experience using threat intelligence platforms, analytical tools and automation techniques is highly desirable, as is the ability to assess confidence, source reliability and potential business impact. You should be an effective communicator and collaborative leader, capable of influencing senior stakeholders and developing the skills of analysts. Relevant professional qualifications in cybersecurity, intelligence, risk or a related field are advantageous. A curious, evidence-led approach, sound judgement and the ability to prioritise in a fast-moving environment are essential.
