Cyber Incident Response Manager
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Incident Response Manager to lead the identification, investigation and resolution of cyber security incidents across a complex technology environment. This role will manage the full incident response lifecycle, from preparation and detection through containment, eradication, recovery and post-incident review. You will provide calm, decisive leadership during high-impact events and help strengthen the organisation’s resilience against evolving cyber threats.
Key responsibilities will include managing and developing incident response processes, playbooks and escalation procedures; coordinating technical response activities across security, infrastructure, applications, legal, compliance and communications teams; and ensuring incidents are accurately assessed, documented and reported. You will oversee investigations into events such as malware infections, data loss, unauthorised access, phishing campaigns and insider threats, while supporting forensic analysis and evidence preservation where required. The role will also involve leading post-incident reviews, tracking remediation actions, producing management reports and presenting clear updates to senior stakeholders. You will contribute to security monitoring improvements, threat intelligence activities, vulnerability reduction and the ongoing testing of business continuity and cyber recovery plans.
The successful candidate will have substantial experience in cyber security incident response, security operations or digital forensics, including experience managing incidents in a large or complex environment. You will possess strong knowledge of incident response frameworks, attack techniques, network and endpoint security, cloud environments and relevant security technologies such as SIEM, EDR and SOAR platforms. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, CREST or equivalent qualifications are desirable. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and decision-making skills are essential, together with the ability to prioritise effectively under pressure and translate technical issues into clear business risk. A proactive approach to continuous improvement and a commitment to developing team capability will be highly valued.
