Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Incident Response

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Cybersecurity Incident Response to lead the development and execution of a mature, enterprise-wide capability for detecting, investigating and responding to cyber threats. This role will provide strategic direction and operational leadership across incident response, digital forensics, threat intelligence, crisis management and post-incident improvement. The successful candidate will help protect critical systems, data and services while ensuring a coordinated, timely and effective response to security events.

Key responsibilities include leading and developing a team of incident response professionals; establishing and maintaining response policies, procedures, playbooks and escalation processes; and overseeing the investigation and containment of complex security incidents. You will coordinate response activities with security operations, infrastructure, engineering, legal, privacy, risk, communications and business stakeholders. The role will also manage relationships with external forensic, legal and specialist response providers, support major incident exercises, and provide clear updates and recommendations to senior leadership. You will drive lessons-learned reviews, root-cause analysis and remediation tracking to strengthen security controls and reduce the likelihood and impact of future incidents.

Applicants should have substantial experience leading cybersecurity incident response within a complex, highly regulated or geographically distributed environment, along with a strong understanding of threat detection, attack techniques, digital forensics, malware analysis, vulnerability management and security operations. Experience managing high-severity incidents and communicating effectively during periods of significant pressure is essential. A proven record of building capable teams, influencing senior stakeholders and improving processes through metrics and continuous improvement is expected. Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, GCIH, GCFA, CISM or equivalent, are desirable. The successful candidate will combine sound technical judgement with strong leadership, structured decision-making, discretion and the ability to translate complex cyber risks into clear business actions.
