Threat Intelligence & Hunting Manager
We are seeking an experienced Threat Intelligence & Hunting Manager to lead the development and delivery of a proactive cyber defence capability. You will manage a team of threat intelligence analysts and threat hunters, helping to identify emerging risks, investigate sophisticated activity and strengthen the organisation’s ability to detect and respond to attacks. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, requiring you to translate complex intelligence into clear, actionable recommendations for technical teams and senior stakeholders.
You will oversee the collection, analysis and dissemination of cyber threat intelligence from open-source, commercial, government and internal sources. Responsibilities will include developing intelligence requirements, maintaining threat actor and campaign profiles, conducting hypothesis-driven threat hunts, and improving detection coverage across endpoint, network, identity and cloud environments. You will work closely with security operations, incident response, vulnerability management and engineering teams to validate indicators, develop use cases, tune alerts and support investigations. The role will also involve producing regular threat briefings, risk assessments and executive reports, as well as representing the function in cross-business forums.
Applicants should have substantial experience in cyber threat intelligence, threat hunting, security operations or a closely related discipline, including experience leading or mentoring specialist teams. You will have strong knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques and procedures, cyber kill chain concepts, intelligence lifecycle processes and relevant frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK. Practical experience using SIEM, EDR, network monitoring, malware analysis or threat intelligence platforms is essential, alongside the ability to query and interpret large datasets. Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills are required, together with sound judgement when assessing risk and prioritising action. Professional certifications in security, intelligence or incident response are desirable, as is experience operating in complex, regulated or international environments.
