We are seeking a Security Engineer (Scrum) to help protect critical systems, applications and data across a complex technology environment. Working as part of a collaborative Agile delivery team, you will contribute security expertise throughout the software development lifecycle, from initial design and threat modelling through to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement. You will work closely with developers, architects, infrastructure specialists and product owners to ensure that security is embedded into practical, scalable solutions.

Your responsibilities will include identifying and assessing vulnerabilities, reviewing application and infrastructure designs, supporting secure coding practices, and helping teams remediate security findings. You will contribute to security testing, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing coordination, configuration reviews and risk analysis. You will also help maintain security standards, technical documentation and incident response procedures, while monitoring emerging threats and recommending appropriate controls. As a member of a Scrum team, you will take part in sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives, ensuring that security requirements are clearly defined, prioritised and delivered.

Applicants should have experience in security engineering, cyber security or a closely related technical discipline, together with a sound understanding of networking, operating systems, identity and access management, encryption and common application security risks. Familiarity with cloud platforms, security tooling, automation and DevSecOps principles would be advantageous. You should be comfortable interpreting technical risks, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues, and influencing delivery teams without creating unnecessary barriers. A proactive, analytical approach, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. Relevant professional certifications or demonstrable equivalent experience are welcome.
