Security Architect (ZTA)
We are seeking an experienced Security Architect (ZTA) to lead the design and evolution of Zero Trust Architecture across complex technology environments. In this role, you will define security architecture principles, reference models and implementation roadmaps that protect users, applications, devices, data and infrastructure. You will work closely with enterprise architects, engineering teams, risk specialists and business stakeholders to translate security objectives into practical, scalable solutions.
Your responsibilities will include assessing current security capabilities, identifying architectural gaps and developing target-state designs aligned with recognised Zero Trust frameworks and industry standards. You will establish principles for identity-centric access control, strong authentication, privileged access management, micro-segmentation, endpoint security, encryption, continuous monitoring and policy enforcement. You will provide technical leadership across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments, ensuring that security controls are integrated throughout the technology lifecycle. The role will also involve reviewing solution designs, producing architecture documentation, contributing to security patterns and standards, and supporting investment planning and prioritisation.
To succeed, you will have substantial experience in security architecture, enterprise architecture or a closely related discipline, with demonstrable knowledge of Zero Trust concepts and their practical application. You should be confident working with IAM, PAM, network security, cloud security, data protection, security operations and modern application delivery models. Experience with major cloud platforms, identity providers, security tooling and automation is highly desirable. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential, along with the ability to explain complex risks and technical decisions to both specialist and non-specialist audiences. Relevant professional certifications in security, architecture, cloud or risk management would be advantageous. You will be expected to promote secure-by-design thinking, challenge existing assumptions constructively and help build consistent, resilient and measurable security capabilities.
