We are seeking a Senior Cyber Defense Architect to define and advance enterprise-wide cybersecurity capabilities across complex technology environments. In this role, you will develop security architecture strategies that protect critical systems, applications, data, and infrastructure against evolving threats. You will translate business and technology requirements into practical, resilient security designs and provide technical leadership across architecture, engineering, operations, and risk management teams.

Your responsibilities will include designing and reviewing cyber defense architectures, security controls, detection and response capabilities, identity and access management models, network protections, cloud security patterns, and data protection solutions. You will assess emerging threats and technologies, identify control gaps, and recommend improvements that strengthen prevention, detection, investigation, and recovery. You will also establish architectural principles, reference models, standards, and roadmaps, while ensuring that security solutions align with regulatory obligations, industry frameworks, and internal risk tolerances. The role will involve supporting major technology initiatives, conducting design reviews, contributing to incident preparedness, and communicating complex technical risks to senior stakeholders.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in cybersecurity architecture, cyber defense, security engineering, or a closely related discipline, with a strong understanding of threat modeling, security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and enterprise infrastructure. Experience across cloud platforms, hybrid environments, zero-trust principles, security information and event management, endpoint protection, network detection, and automation will be highly valued. Professional certifications such as CISSP, SABSA, CCSP, GIAC, or equivalent are desirable. You should be analytical, collaborative, and comfortable influencing decisions at all levels. Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and the ability to balance security, usability, cost, and delivery priorities are essential.
