Information Security & Resilience Business Partner
We are seeking an experienced Information Security & Resilience Business Partner to provide trusted advice, challenge and practical support across the organisation. Working closely with business leaders, technology teams and operational stakeholders, you will help ensure that information security, cyber risk and organisational resilience are embedded into strategic planning, change programmes and day-to-day operations. This is an influential role for someone who can translate complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear, commercially minded guidance.
Your responsibilities will include partnering with senior stakeholders to identify, assess and manage information security and operational resilience risks; advising on security controls, risk treatment plans and assurance activities; and supporting the development and maintenance of policies, standards and governance frameworks. You will contribute to risk assessments, business impact analyses, incident and crisis preparedness, continuity planning, testing and lessons-learned reviews. You will also monitor emerging threats, regulatory expectations and industry developments, helping teams understand their implications and prioritise appropriate action. The role will involve producing clear management information, reporting on risk and control effectiveness, and constructively challenging decisions where security or resilience requirements may not be adequately addressed.
To succeed, you will have demonstrable experience in information security, cyber risk, operational resilience, business continuity or a closely related discipline, ideally within a complex or regulated environment. You will be confident engaging stakeholders at all levels and able to build effective relationships while maintaining appropriate independence and challenge. Strong knowledge of recognised security and resilience frameworks, risk management principles, incident response and continuity practices is expected. Relevant professional qualifications or certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001, CBCI or equivalent, would be advantageous. Excellent communication, analytical, influencing and organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver practical outcomes in a changing environment.
