We are seeking a Senior Consultant specialising in Identity and Access Management (IAM) to support cyber security transformation programmes across the financial services sector. In this role, you will work with clients to assess their current identity capabilities, define target operating models and implement practical, risk-based solutions that strengthen security while enabling efficient access to business services.

You will lead or contribute to IAM engagements covering identity governance and administration, privileged access management, access reviews, role-based access control, authentication, authorisation and identity lifecycle management. Responsibilities will include gathering and analysing business and technical requirements, conducting maturity and risk assessments, developing IAM strategies and roadmaps, designing processes and controls, and supporting technology selection and implementation. You will also prepare clear reports, presentations and recommendations for senior stakeholders, while managing deliverables, project risks, dependencies and client communications. The role may involve supporting regulatory and compliance initiatives, including audit remediation and alignment with recognised security frameworks.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in IAM, cyber security or technology risk, ideally within financial services, consulting or another highly regulated environment. You should possess a strong understanding of IAM principles, security architecture, governance and controls, together with experience delivering advisory or implementation projects. Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, SailPoint, CyberArk, Okta or similar technologies would be advantageous. Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential, as is the ability to translate complex technical issues into practical business outcomes. Relevant professional certifications, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SABSA or specialist IAM qualifications, are desirable. You will be expected to work collaboratively, coach less experienced colleagues and contribute to business development, proposals and thought leadership.
