Vice President, Information Security - Cyber Threat Simulation
We are seeking an experienced Vice President, Information Security – Cyber Threat Simulation to lead the strategy, development, and execution of enterprise-wide adversary simulation and security validation capabilities. This senior leader will assess the organisation’s resilience against sophisticated cyber threats by directing red team operations, threat emulation, purple team exercises, breach and attack simulations, and intelligence-led testing across cloud, corporate, operational, and critical technology environments. The role will translate emerging threats and business risks into practical testing priorities, helping strengthen detection, response, recovery, and overall security maturity.
Key responsibilities include establishing a multi-year cyber threat simulation strategy; defining methodologies, governance, risk tolerances, and success metrics; and overseeing the planning and delivery of complex, controlled assessments. You will partner closely with security operations, threat intelligence, incident response, engineering, infrastructure, application development, risk, audit, and executive stakeholders to ensure findings are understood and remediated. The successful candidate will provide clear reporting to senior leadership, track remediation through measurable outcomes, and ensure all activities are conducted safely, ethically, and in accordance with legal, regulatory, and internal requirements. You will also develop talent, build high-performing specialist teams, manage strategic suppliers, and promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and industry collaboration.
Applicants should bring significant leadership experience in cyber threat simulation, red teaming, penetration testing, security validation, or a closely related discipline, ideally within a complex, highly regulated, or global environment. Strong knowledge of adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures; attack frameworks; cloud and hybrid infrastructure; identity and access management; application security; and modern detection technologies is required. Experience briefing executive audiences, influencing across organisational boundaries, managing budgets, and delivering risk-based programmes is essential. Relevant professional certifications or equivalent practical expertise are desirable. The successful candidate will combine strategic vision with technical credibility, sound judgement, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to responsible, outcome-focused security testing.
