Vice President, Cyber Hygiene and Metrics Engineer
We are seeking a Vice President, Cyber Hygiene and Metrics Engineer to lead the development of enterprise-wide cyber hygiene practices and turn security data into clear, actionable insight. This senior role will establish the strategies, standards, and measurement frameworks used to assess and improve the organisation’s cybersecurity resilience across technology, infrastructure, applications, and business operations. You will partner with executive leadership, technology teams, risk professionals, and operational stakeholders to strengthen accountability and create a consistent, measurable approach to cyber hygiene.
Responsibilities include defining key performance and risk indicators; designing dashboards, scorecards, and reporting for executive and technical audiences; and establishing reliable methods for measuring vulnerability management, patching, identity security, asset visibility, configuration compliance, endpoint protection, and incident readiness. You will oversee the collection, validation, normalisation, and analysis of security data from multiple sources, ensuring metrics are accurate, timely, and aligned with business priorities. The role will also lead maturity assessments, identify control gaps, prioritise remediation initiatives, and communicate trends, risks, and recommendations to senior decision-makers. You will champion automation, continuous improvement, and practical security behaviours across the organisation.
The successful candidate will bring significant experience in cybersecurity, cyber risk, security operations, governance, or a related discipline, including substantial leadership responsibility. Strong knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, or equivalent is required, along with experience developing enterprise metrics and translating complex technical information into concise business insight. You should be comfortable working with data platforms, reporting and visualisation tools, security technologies, and automation capabilities. Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder-management skills are essential, as is the ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on problem solving. Relevant professional certifications and a degree in cybersecurity, computer science, engineering, or a related field are desirable.
