Cyber Governance Analyst

We are seeking a Cyber Governance Analyst to support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of cyber security governance across the organisation. This role will help ensure that security policies, standards, controls and processes remain effective, proportionate and aligned with business objectives, regulatory expectations and recognised industry frameworks. You will work closely with technology, risk, compliance, audit and operational teams to promote a consistent approach to cyber security and strengthen organisational resilience.

Key responsibilities include maintaining cyber security policies, procedures, standards and control libraries; coordinating governance forums, reporting and action tracking; supporting risk assessments, control reviews, audit activity and regulatory submissions; and monitoring the progress of remediation plans. You will analyse security and risk information to identify trends, weaknesses and emerging issues, preparing clear reports and recommendations for stakeholders at different levels. The role will also involve supporting third-party and supplier assurance activities, reviewing security exceptions, contributing to security awareness initiatives and helping embed governance requirements into projects, change programmes and business processes.

The successful candidate will have experience in cyber security governance, risk, compliance, assurance or a closely related discipline, together with a sound understanding of security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST or CIS. You should be confident interpreting policies and controls, assessing risk, documenting evidence and communicating complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities and work collaboratively across multiple teams. Relevant qualifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISSP, CISM or equivalent experience are desirable. A proactive approach, attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement will be highly valued.
