We are seeking an experienced Managing Director, Cyber Governance & Regulatory Relations to lead the development and implementation of a robust cyber governance framework across a complex, highly regulated environment. This senior role will provide strategic direction on cyber risk, regulatory engagement, technology governance and organisational resilience, ensuring that security priorities are aligned with business objectives and evolving regulatory expectations.

You will be responsible for setting the cyber governance strategy, overseeing policies, standards, controls and assurance activities, and providing clear reporting to senior leadership and relevant governance committees. The role will lead constructive relationships with regulators, supervisory bodies, industry forums and other external stakeholders, coordinating responses to regulatory requests, examinations and emerging requirements. You will monitor changes in cyber, operational resilience, data protection and technology regulation, translating these into practical actions across the organisation. Working closely with technology, risk, legal, compliance, audit and business teams, you will promote consistent risk ownership, strengthen control effectiveness and oversee remediation of significant findings.

The successful candidate will bring substantial leadership experience in cyber governance, technology risk, information security or a closely related regulatory discipline, ideally gained within financial services or another complex, internationally regulated sector. You will have a strong understanding of cyber risk frameworks, operational resilience, regulatory expectations and industry standards, together with experience engaging confidently with senior executives and regulators. Excellent judgement, communication and stakeholder-management skills are essential, as is the ability to simplify complex issues and influence outcomes at board and executive level. A strategic thinker with a pragmatic, collaborative approach, you will be comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment, leading high-performing teams and embedding a culture of accountability, resilience and continuous improvement.
