We are seeking a skilled SOC Analyst Level 2 to join a security operations team responsible for monitoring, investigating, and responding to cyber threats across a complex technology environment. You will analyse security alerts, identify indicators of compromise, and perform detailed investigations using SIEM, endpoint detection and response, network monitoring, and threat intelligence tools. The role requires sound technical judgement, strong analytical ability, and the confidence to manage incidents from initial triage through to resolution or escalation.

Key responsibilities include investigating suspicious activity, validating and prioritising alerts, correlating events across multiple data sources, and containing potential threats in line with established procedures. You will support incident response activities, conduct root-cause analysis, document findings, and produce clear incident reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will also contribute to threat hunting, detection-rule tuning, use-case development, vulnerability-related investigations, and the continuous improvement of security monitoring and response processes. Where required, you will coordinate with infrastructure, applications, identity, and third-party teams to remediate security issues and reduce operational risk. Participation in an on-call or shift rota may be required.

Applicants should have practical experience in a security operations centre, incident response, or a comparable cyber security role, together with a solid understanding of networking, operating systems, authentication, malware, and common attack techniques. Experience with SIEM platforms, EDR technologies, threat intelligence, and incident management processes is essential; familiarity with cloud security, scripting, and frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK would be advantageous. Relevant industry certifications or equivalent professional experience are desirable. You should be methodical, curious, and calm under pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will be comfortable working collaboratively while taking ownership of investigations and continuously developing their technical expertise.
