Resilience Threat Lead

We are seeking an experienced Resilience Threat Lead to strengthen organisational preparedness against evolving operational, physical, cyber and environmental threats. This role will lead the development and continuous improvement of resilience strategies, ensuring that critical services, people, facilities, technology and supply chains can withstand disruption and recover effectively. You will work across business functions to identify vulnerabilities, assess emerging risks and translate threat intelligence into practical resilience measures.

Key responsibilities will include maintaining threat and resilience assessments, coordinating business impact analyses, and developing response, continuity, crisis management and recovery plans. You will lead scenario planning, simulation exercises and post-incident reviews, ensuring that lessons learned are converted into measurable improvements. The role will also provide expert advice on threat mitigation, protective security, emergency preparedness and dependency management, while supporting the establishment of clear escalation, communication and decision-making processes.

You will build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, operational teams, security specialists, technology functions, external partners and relevant authorities. Success will require the ability to communicate complex risks clearly, influence decision-makers and promote a culture of preparedness at every level. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in organisational resilience, threat management, business continuity, crisis management, security or a related discipline, together with a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and relevant standards. Experience designing and facilitating exercises, managing incidents and working in complex, highly regulated or geographically dispersed environments is desirable. You should be analytical, collaborative and calm under pressure, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively. Relevant professional qualifications in resilience, continuity, security, emergency management or risk are advantageous.
