Senior Conformity Assessment Program Specialist - Information Security Management System

We are seeking a Senior Conformity Assessment Program Specialist to lead and support the delivery of information security management system (ISMS) conformity assessment activities. In this role, you will coordinate assessment programmes, oversee planning and scheduling, and ensure that audits and related activities are conducted consistently, efficiently and in accordance with applicable standards, accreditation requirements and internal procedures. You will work closely with clients, assessors, technical experts and internal stakeholders to clarify requirements, manage expectations and support the successful completion of assessment cycles.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing applications and assessment information, determining resource and competence requirements, preparing assessment plans, monitoring progress and resolving operational issues. You will evaluate assessment records and technical documentation for completeness and consistency, support decisions relating to certification or continued conformity, and contribute to the handling of appeals, complaints, corrective actions and nonconformities. The role will also involve maintaining accurate programme records, preparing management reports, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting the continual improvement of conformity assessment processes. You may contribute to assessor qualification, witness assessment coordination, training development and the interpretation of changes to relevant information security standards and regulatory expectations.

Applicants should have substantial experience in information security management systems, conformity assessment, certification, auditing or a closely related field. A strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001 and associated audit and certification principles is essential; experience with ISO/IEC 17021-1, ISO/IEC 17065 or comparable conformity assessment requirements would be advantageous. You will need excellent organisational and analytical skills, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and impartiality. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, together with confidence engaging with technical and non-technical stakeholders. A relevant professional qualification, lead auditor certification or equivalent practical experience is desirable. The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, discretion, a collaborative approach and a commitment to consistent, evidence-based decision-making.
