Cyber Intelligence Director
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Intelligence Director to lead the development and delivery of a forward-looking cyber intelligence capability. This senior role will establish the strategy, operating model and priorities for intelligence collection, analysis and dissemination across the organisation. You will assess the evolving threat landscape, identify risks to critical systems and business operations, and translate complex technical findings into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders. The role will also contribute to enterprise security strategy, resilience planning and informed decision-making during significant cyber events.
Key responsibilities include directing cyber threat intelligence, strategic analysis, tactical investigations and executive reporting. You will oversee the collection and evaluation of intelligence from open, commercial, industry and governmental sources, while developing processes to identify threat actors, campaigns, vulnerabilities and emerging attack techniques. Working closely with security operations, incident response, risk, technology and business teams, you will ensure intelligence informs detection priorities, vulnerability management, threat hunting and crisis response. You will lead the production of concise briefings, assessments and alerts, ensuring they are appropriately tailored to technical, operational and executive audiences. The role will also involve managing external relationships, intelligence-sharing partnerships and specialist suppliers.
The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in cyber threat intelligence, security operations, incident response or a related discipline, including proven leadership of high-performing teams. You will have strong knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks, adversary tactics and techniques, intelligence lifecycle management and cyber risk assessment. Experience using intelligence platforms, security monitoring tools and analytical techniques is expected, together with the ability to assess confidence, challenge assumptions and make sound judgements from incomplete information. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is the ability to influence senior decision-makers and collaborate across diverse functions. Relevant professional qualifications in cyber security, intelligence, risk or an associated field are desirable. A strategic mindset, integrity, curiosity and the ability to remain composed in a fast-moving environment will be highly valued.
