We are seeking a Vulnerability Management Support Engineer to help strengthen the security and resilience of technology environments. In this role, you will support the identification, assessment, prioritisation and remediation of vulnerabilities across infrastructure, applications, endpoints and cloud services. You will work closely with security, infrastructure, development and service management teams to ensure vulnerabilities are accurately recorded, investigated and addressed within agreed timeframes.

Your responsibilities will include operating and supporting vulnerability scanning tools, reviewing scan results, validating findings and helping to distinguish genuine risks from false positives. You will maintain accurate vulnerability records, produce regular dashboards and reports, track remediation progress and escalate overdue or high-risk issues where appropriate. You will also assist with coordinating patching and remediation activities, contribute to risk-based prioritisation, support exception and risk acceptance processes, and help improve vulnerability management procedures, workflows and reporting. The role may involve assisting with security assessments, responding to technical queries, documenting findings and providing guidance to system owners on appropriate remediation approaches.

Applicants should have practical experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity operations, infrastructure support or a related technical discipline. Familiarity with vulnerability scanning and security information tools, common operating systems, networking concepts, patch management and risk assessment methods is desirable. You should be comfortable interpreting technical reports, investigating issues and communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential. An analytical and proactive approach, together with a willingness to learn and improve processes, will be highly valued. Relevant industry certifications or qualifications in cybersecurity, information technology or a related field would be advantageous.
