Senior Cybersecurity Analyst - Social, Healthcare and Public Entities

We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to help protect organisations operating across the social, healthcare and public sectors. This role will support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of security operations, ensuring that sensitive information, critical services and digital infrastructure remain resilient against evolving threats. You will work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to identify risks, strengthen security controls and provide practical advice aligned with regulatory, contractual and organisational requirements.

Key responsibilities include monitoring and investigating security alerts, conducting threat and vulnerability assessments, coordinating incident response activities and supporting post-incident reviews. You will contribute to security risk assessments, control testing, audit preparation and the development of policies, procedures and improvement plans. The role will also involve analysing security data, producing clear reports for senior stakeholders, advising on secure system design and collaborating with infrastructure, application, governance and service delivery teams. You may also support security awareness initiatives, third-party risk reviews and the implementation of industry standards and good practice.

Applicants should have substantial experience in cybersecurity, security operations, incident response, risk management or a closely related discipline, together with a strong understanding of enterprise networks, cloud services, identity and access management, endpoint protection and common attack techniques. Experience working with SIEM, vulnerability management and security monitoring tools is expected. A relevant professional qualification, such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, GIAC or an equivalent certification, would be advantageous. You will need excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills, sound judgement, and the ability to explain complex security issues clearly. Experience within healthcare, government, social care or another highly regulated environment would be particularly valuable.
