We are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst L1 to join a collaborative security operations team and help protect critical systems, applications, networks, and data. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career security professional to develop practical experience in monitoring, investigation, and incident response within a structured and supportive environment. You will work alongside experienced analysts, following established procedures while building your technical knowledge and professional judgement.

Key responsibilities will include monitoring security alerts and events across SIEM, endpoint protection, network monitoring, and vulnerability management tools; reviewing and triaging suspected incidents; investigating unusual activity; and escalating confirmed or complex threats in line with documented processes. You will assist with phishing investigations, malware analysis, access-related alerts, and suspicious user or system behaviour. The role will also involve documenting findings accurately, maintaining incident records, contributing to daily security reporting, supporting vulnerability remediation activities, and helping improve operational procedures, detection rules, and knowledge-base content. You may participate in an on-call or shift-based rota, depending on operational requirements.

Applicants should have a genuine interest in cyber security and a foundational understanding of security principles, common attack techniques, networking, operating systems, identity and access management, and incident response. Experience using SIEM, EDR, ticketing, vulnerability scanning, or threat intelligence platforms is advantageous, as is exposure to frameworks such as NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, or ISO 27001. Relevant qualifications in cyber security, information technology, or a related discipline are welcome, although practical capability and enthusiasm to learn are equally valued. You should be analytical, methodical, and able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues. Attention to detail, sound judgement, a customer-focused approach, and the ability to remain calm when handling security incidents are essential.
